On Saturday 17 June 2017, the Board of COREB (Conference of women and men religious in Belgium) elected Sr. Marie-Sophie d’Oultremont, Provincial of the Religious of the Assumption, President of COREB for a term of two years. Fr. Benoît Carniaux o.praem., Abbot of Our Lady of Leffe, was chosen as Vice-President, in place of Sr. Marie-Renilde d’Haemer, Regional Superior of the Salesians of the Visitation.
Fr. Franck Janin, Provincial for French-speaking Belgium and Luxembourg of the Jesuits and former President of COREB, had been elected President of the Conference of the European Jesuit Provincials in January.
